FAQ

GTA 6 System Requirements — FAQ

GTA 6 PC requirements have not been officially announced. GTA 6 launches on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S in November 2026. A PC version is expected in 2027–2028, at which point Rockstar will release official PC specs. All PC specs on this page are community estimates based on PS5 hardware analysis.
Based on estimated requirements, an RTX 3060 should meet minimum spec — likely achieving 1080p on low-to-medium settings at 30–60fps. The RTX 3060 has 12GB VRAM which helps, but the GPU compute power (12 TFLOPS) is below the PS5’s equivalent (10.28 TFLOPS is roughly RTX 3070 territory). Expect playable but not high-settings performance.
Expected yes — but not officially confirmed. Rockstar typically offers a 60fps Performance Mode and a higher-fidelity Quality Mode on current-gen consoles. GTA 6 on PS5 is expected to offer 60fps at reduced resolution as a Performance option and 4K/30fps in Quality mode. Exact targets will be confirmed closer to launch or at launch.
Not officially confirmed. Based on the game’s scale — 6 regions across the State of Leonida, 700+ enterable interiors, next-gen textures and audio — community estimates range from 100GB to 150GB+ install size. GTA 5’s current install is around 100GB. GTA 6 will almost certainly be larger. A fast SSD (NVMe recommended) is expected to be required.
PC requirements will be announced when Rockstar officially confirms the GTA 6 PC version — expected sometime in 2027. The announcement will likely come via Rockstar’s official website and social channels. We’ll update this page the moment official PC specs are revealed.
Almost certainly yes. Both PS5 and Xbox Series X rely heavily on their ultra-fast NVMe SSDs for open-world streaming — GTA 6’s 700+ enterable buildings and massive world require rapid asset loading that a traditional HDD cannot provide. An SSD is expected to be a minimum requirement for GTA 6 on PC, with NVMe Gen 4 recommended for best performance.
